Nice work Annemie
Your eye brow is perfect. Your eye shape, shading and iris are wonderful . Refining your upper eyelash’s will move your eye into the awesome realm.

Ja dankje Larry, ik had mijn punt beter moeten slijpen voor ik aan de wimpers begon!

Hey all, let me introduce myself, i am sabine 30 years old living in the netherlands. Have been drawing since i was a kid, but after years of not drawing going to pick it up again. Hi Sabine
Welcome to AHR Studios. Your story is very touching. It won’t be very log before you are able to draw your grandmothers portrait. Ali will not only teach you how to draw but also how to enjoy the process along the way. Ali creates a win win atmosphere for learning to draw.
My guess is that you will love it here. 👍

Whow Larry heel goed! Er zijn weinig mensen die een tekening van 65 jaar geleden nog eens kunnen maken toch 😁👍🏼

Hey Larry, I have always been proud of you, and with this one I’m even more proud 😊. Redrawing something you created 65 years ago is truly special. It shows your love for art never faded, and the character and emotion in this drawing are beautiful. Thank you for sharing this amazing piece with the community

LILIANA posted an update in the group
Drawing Community 2 weeks agoMY PROGRESS STEP BY STEP
These lessons helped me a lot with pencil pressure for shading; I've noticed my strokes are no longer streaky. I learned a great deal about shadows and the volume of figures. I think that even though I'm just starting out, I'll get as far as I want to go because the process is so valuable. Thank you so much. These are my exercises from the lessons.

Very well done Liliana. Your proportions, shading and shadows are very good. You are going to love Ali’s Art Studios. He makes learning to draw so easy, rewarding and fun all at the same time.

Liliana this makes me really happy to see 😊 Step by step progress like this is exactly how artists grow. I can clearly see you understanding pencil pressure and shading better, and the spheres already have a nice sense of volume. Keep going like this, you’re doing wonderful! 🎨

Nice fur drawing Anthony. I am anxious to read Ali’s critique.

Anthony this is really nice work 😊 I can clearly see you paying attention to the direction of the fur strokes and that’s exactly the right approach. One small suggestion would be to vary the pencil pressure a little more so some strands appear darker and some lighter. That will create more depth and make the fur look even more natural. Great… Read more

Drawing Community 2 weeks agoI also tried out a hand but then i used white charcoal pencil instaed of white pit pencil. So the texture didnt really blend in well.
Please recommendations on where to get white pit pastel pencil if you know🤗

Nice work!
I have been able to use the faber castell Pitt pastel white, the derwent drawing Chinese white and Conté à Paris sketching pencils. If it can help you 😊

Heel goed gedaan deze hand! Kijk eens bij Amazon ze hebben daar een uitgebreide collectie materialen.

Nice hand study David 👍
The structure and the folds of the skin are reading well. Hands are not easy and you handled the forms nicely.
For the white pencil, try Faber Castell Pitt Pastel white or General’s white pastel pencil. Both blend much better with graphite than charcoal pencils.
Keep practicing hands like this. They’re great training… Read more1 -

Second sketch, first lesson done! I loved it! The music relaxed me, I took my time, but it was a real pleasure to begin my learning. My husband joined me after work, we both shared this moment, and here’s our work! The photo of my husband’s sketch didn’t turn out well… I’ll have to start taking photography lessons 😂

I love that you shared the moment together. Learning art like this makes the journey even more special.
Your eye has nice detail in the iris and the lashes are flowing naturally. Great control for the first lesson. Keep enjoying the process and drawing together. That’s what makes art fun 👍🎨3 -
