Hello everyone!!!! First of all congratulations to the tutor for his wedding.
I have not had time to continue with the course for several days but I decided to take a small notebook to practice at work during the waiting times and the truth is that it has been very good for me to practice, every day I enjoy my progress more

Drawing Community a week agoI did my best. It’s very hard to capture the details and the correct tones. I drew back and forth using different pencils… I still need to work on my approach.

very nice, i’m having the same problem at the moment even going up in pencil grades only gives me dark grey’s and not black’s

Ik bereik dat het beste door na elke laag goed te borstelen en ga elke keer een tint donkerder eroverheen totdat ik de juiste diepte heb! Duurt wat langer maar heeft wel effect

Try “Primo Elite Grande organic black #500” or “Faber-casteil Polychromos”
Either one will give you the dark dark tones you are looking for.

Check out Derwent pencils on Amazon. I noticed Ali was using a 9B Derwent on the still life guitar exercise and made the drawing very dark and still was able to eraser with the Mono Zero eraser.
