Mehmet, this is a very strong step forward, especially with the hair 👏
The flow and grouping feel much more natural, and it sits well with the face instead of overpowering it.

This is your first drawing after 30 years and that too in charcoal, which is honestly one of the most unforgiving mediums… and you’ve absolutely amazed me 👏

Just finished the pear drawing. Enjoyed the contrast between adding graphite for spots and also using the eraser for more texture👍

The texture from the eraser and graphite spots works well, and the pears feel solid and grounded.

You’re reading it correctly 👍
The leaf feels a bit flat right now, but that’s totally normal at this stage. Once the cherries are in and you add stronger contrast and a clear light direction, the leaf will automatically feel more dimensional.
One small thing you can do later without overworking it: slightly deepen the shadow near the stem… Read more2 -

Hi all,
Any advice for adding scales to my mermaids. This piece has been rather difficult especially the tiny eyes and getting them looking the right way with some kind of expression… i digress.
How do we do scales?
