Who’s the lucky girl who received this as a gift? 😊 Gifting someone a portrait is such a beautiful thing it’s literally giving a part of your time, skill, and heart. Really lovely work, John.

Nice work, Larry. Your tool control is really showing here the flow and layering of the fur feels natural and well thought out. You’re getting more confident with each exercise 👍

                • Nice looking fur Larry. I find fur a bit challenging. I haven’t gotten that far in the course yet. I’m looking forward to learning Ali’s tips on this subject. Thank you for sharing!

This is my stone texture exercise. This prooved to be a lot more involved than it first appears. It is a very good exercise to practice shading that ends up looking like stone.

Larry, I really love your consistency, it shows clearly in your work. The effort you’re putting in is paying off, and this stone texture looks solid and well thought out. Keep going like this 👏

                  • Started a month ago as a hobbie with a bit of “constructive” criticism from the kids….. this is where I’m at.

Not thrilled with it but we’ll see where it goes 🤪

I like your portrait a lot. It has very penetrating eyes.

Hey Emil sometimes a hobby quietly turns into passion without us even realizing it, and this drawing really feels like that. Kids’ “constructive criticism” can be brutal 😂

Looking back, this is embarrassing 😳

Old horse drawing back from when I just started, just an HB pencil and a solid eraser. 😂

                        Hi my fellow members,

How are you all doing? Today i choose to work with coloured pencils. I started in a colouring book (the ice cream) with Prisma colours, but men…that paper is way to smooth for Prisma colour. So i was fed up with it and started with the butterfly this one I drew myself and used Polychromos pencils

                        I wish you all a…

                              Nice work, Rozina 👏
Drawing without a grid takes confidence, and it shows here. The forms are clear, proportions feel natural, and your shading is doing a good job describing volume. Keep practicing this way your observation skills get stronger with time.

                              • like it Rozina, I tend to use a grid more or less for the eyes , nose, and mouth.
